Description
The Traxxas 10537 is a pair of replacement left and right steering blocks for the 4-Tec Drift.
Steering blocks are the hubs that carry the front wheels and pivot to steer the car. Everything the front end does passes through them: steering input from the linkage, cornering loads from the tyres, and the shock of any front-end impact. They also house the wheel bearings, so their condition affects how freely the front wheels turn as well as how precisely the car steers.
On a drift chassis the steering blocks work harder than on a grip car. Drift setups typically run large steering angles, which loads the blocks at extremes of their travel for sustained periods rather than briefly through a corner. Cracked or worn blocks introduce play that shows up as vague steering feel and inconsistent angle, which is precisely what a drift driver is trying to eliminate.
These are direct replacements for the factory parts, supplied as a left and right pair so both front corners are covered in a single part number. They fit the original mounting locations with no modification and preserve stock steering geometry.
