Description
The Traxxas 10513 is a set of replacement Ford Mustang body accessories for 10511-series bodies. It includes the rear diffuser and retainer with body supports and 3x6 mm screws (4).
The rear diffuser sits at the lowest point of the back of the car, which makes it the part that contacts the ground on any rearward slide or when the chassis squats under power. On a drift car being deliberately held sideways, that contact happens constantly. It is a wear item by position rather than by weakness.
The body supports included here do real structural work. They brace the rear of the shell so it holds its shape and stays properly located rather than flexing and rubbing on the tyres. A body without functioning supports sags at the back and can foul the rear wheels at full compression.
Replacing these is far cheaper than replacing the shell they protect and support. Fitment is specific to 10511-series Mustang bodies, covering the clear version and all the pre-painted colors.
