Traxxas captures the performance and modern style of the Ford Mustang with this highly detailed clipless body for the 4-Tec 2.0 Drift car. It arrives fully assembled with clipless mounts, injection-molded parts, pre-painted, trimmed, and ready to mount with decals already applied.
This is the finished option. There is no painting, no masking, no decal work, and no trimming. It comes out of the box ready to go straight onto the car, which is the difference between running today and running next weekend. For anyone who would rather drive than spend an evening with an airbrush, that is the whole appeal.
The factory finish is also difficult to match at home. Pre-painted shells are sprayed and cured under controlled conditions, and the applied decals are positioned precisely rather than by eye. Combined with the injection-molded detail parts, the result reads as a scale replica rather than a painted lexan shell.
The clipless mounting system does away with tall body posts and clips, so nothing protrudes above the bodyline. On a drift car, where the entire point is a realistic silhouette and close-quarters running, that is a meaningful detail rather than a convenience feature.
