Description
The Traxxas 10511 is the clear, unpainted Ford Mustang body for the 4-Tec Drift car. It comes fully trimmed and ready to paint, supplied with a decal sheet, molded body accessories, clipless latches with mounting hardware, and pre-applied overspray film.
Buying clear means the finish is yours to decide. Drift cars are as much about presentation as performance, and a custom paint scheme is what separates a build from an off-the-shelf car. Traxxas recommends using ProGraphix paint for best results, which is formulated for polycarbonate and designed to be sprayed on the inside of the shell for a deep, glossy finish that resists scratching.
The preparation work is already handled. The shell arrives trimmed, so there is no cutting before painting, and the overspray film is pre-applied to protect the outer surface while you work. The molded body accessories add the scale detail that makes a drift body look convincing rather than plain.
Clipless latches and mounting hardware are included, so the body mounts without the tall body posts and clips that spoil the lines of a scale car. That matters more on a drift build than anywhere else, since the whole point is a realistic silhouette.
