Aluminum motor plate with a red anodized finish. One per package.
The motor plate carries the motor and sets its position relative to the spur gear, so it holds gear mesh. Aluminum resists the flex and heat softening that lets a plate move under load — and mesh that drifts is what strips spur gears, either whining and wearing when too tight or skipping and shearing teeth when too loose. It also acts as a heat path away from the motor.
Fits: Traxxas Maxx (89086-4) and Maxx Slash (102076-4).
Direct replacement for the factory motor plate.
