Description
This Team Associated hardware pack contains one servo saver bolt, one servo saver spring, one upper servo saver washer, and two heavy duty one-way outdrive shims. It fits the RC10B4, B4.1, RC10T4, T4.1, SC10, SC10B, SC10.3 Lucas Oil, and SC10.3 JRT.
The servo saver is what protects your steering servo from the shock loads that come with hitting a pipe or landing a jump crooked. The bolt, spring, and washer set the preload on that assembly, and they are what determines whether the saver absorbs an impact or simply passes it into the servo gears. A collapsed spring or a worn bolt leaves the steering feeling soft and imprecise and stops the saver doing its job.
Every piece here replaces the original factory part, so the assembly rebuilds in the stock configuration with no modification. Refreshing this hardware restores accurate, repeatable steering feel and protects a far more expensive servo, which makes it one of the cheapest bits of preventive maintenance on the car.
