Description
This top plate is the direct replacement for the part fitted to the Team Associated RC10B4, B4.1, B4.2, RC10T4, T4.1, T4.2, T4.3, SC10, SC10B, SC10.2, SC10.3 Lucas Oil, and SC10.3 JRT.
The top plate is a structural piece that ties the upper section of the rear end together and holds the surrounding components in alignment while the car is under power. When it is straight, the drivetrain stays where it belongs and gear mesh stays consistent; when it is cracked or flexed from an impact, things move fractionally under load and the car develops the kind of vague, inconsistent feel that is hard to trace.
Since this is the same component the car left the factory with, it installs in the stock position with your existing screws and requires no modification to fit. Rear-end parts take a beating on any track with jumps or a wall, so a top plate is a cheap and worthwhile spare to keep in the pit box alongside your other chassis hardware.
