Description
The Team Associated ASC92463 battery holder O-rings secure the battery pack in the chassis of the RC10B7, RC10B7D and RC10B7.1 competition buggies. The O-rings stretch over the battery and the chassis posts, clamping the pack down so it cannot shift under braking, acceleration or in a crash.
Holding the battery firmly matters for more than just security. A pack that moves changes the weight distribution of the car mid-corner and can strain the battery wiring and connectors. Rubber O-rings apply steady tension while allowing quick pack changes between heats, which is why they are used in place of screws or straps on many race chassis.
Rubber stretches and degrades with repeated use and exposure to cleaners and sunlight, so O-rings are a regular consumable at the track. These are direct replacements for the O-rings supplied with the kit and install without tools or modification. A spare set in the pit box prevents a broken O-ring from delaying a run.
