Description
The Team Associated ASC92461 gear differential cap is a replacement housing component for the gear differential used in the RC10B7 and RC10B7D competition buggies. The cap closes the differential case, retaining the internal gears and the silicone fluid that sets how the differential transfers power between the two rear wheels.
A gear differential relies on a good seal to hold its fluid at the chosen weight. If the cap is worn, distorted or damaged, fluid escapes and the differential action changes during a run, which shows up as unpredictable rear traction and inconsistent corner exit. The cap also locates the outdrive on that side of the differential.
This is a direct replacement for the cap supplied with the kit and assembles with the stock gears, O-rings, screws and outdrives as shown in the kit manual, requiring no modification. Because the cap is handled every time the diff is rebuilt and refilled, having a spare on hand keeps a diff service from stalling.
