Description
The Team Associated ASC92430 front shock tower fits the RC10B7, RC10B7D and RC10B7.1D competition buggies. The tower mounts to the front bulkhead and provides the upper mounting points for the front shocks and the camber links, so it sets shock angle, camber link position and roll center at the front of the car.
The multiple mounting holes in the tower are a primary means of tuning front suspension response. Moving a shock inward or outward changes how much the front end resists roll and how it reacts to bumps, while camber link position changes camber gain through suspension travel.
The front tower takes heavy loads on landings and direct hits in a nose-first crash, making it a part that occasionally needs replacing. This is a direct replacement for the tower supplied in the kit, installing with the stock screws, shock hardware and camber link balls as shown in the kit manual and requiring no modification to the surrounding assemblies.
