Description
The Team Associated ASC92426 shock tower cover set supplies the protective covers that fit over the front and rear shock towers of the RC10B7, RC10B7D, RC10B7.1 and RC10B7.1D racing buggies. The covers sit against the tower and shield the exposed edges and the shock mounting area from direct impact and from debris thrown up by the tires.
Shock towers on a modern racing buggy are thin and stiff, and are vulnerable to chipping and edge damage in a crash. The covers spread impact loads and help protect the tower itself, which is a more expensive and more time-consuming part to replace. They also tidy up the shock mounting area at the top of each tower.
This set is a direct replacement for the covers supplied in the kit and installs using the existing shock tower screws and hardware following the kit manual, with no modification required. Fresh covers are a low-cost way to keep the towers in service through a full season of racing.
