Description
The Team Associated ASC92416 caster inserts and shims are front end tuning parts for the RC10B7 and RC10B7D competition buggies. The inserts fit inside the caster blocks and set the caster angle of the front suspension, while the shims control the position of the caster block on the hinge pin.
Changing caster affects how much the front end steers into a corner and how the car tracks in a straight line. More caster generally makes the car more stable and smoother on entry, while less caster increases initial steering response. The shims let a racer adjust the fit of the block on the pin and remove unwanted play from the front suspension.
These pieces are direct replacements for the inserts and shims supplied in the kit and install with the stock hinge pins and hardware, requiring no modification. Because they are small and easily lost during a front end rebuild, a spare set is a practical addition to any pit box.
