Description
The Team Associated ASC92407 differential height inserts are tuning components for the gearbox of the RC10B7 and RC10B7D competition buggies. The inserts sit in the transmission case and locate the gear differential, allowing the diff to be positioned at different heights within the gearbox.
Changing differential height alters the position of the drivetrain relative to the chassis and rear suspension pivots, which changes how the car reacts to throttle input and how much traction the rear end generates on corner exit. Racers use the inserts to adapt the car to varying track surfaces and grip levels without altering suspension settings.
These pieces install inside the gearbox halves during assembly of the transmission. They serve as direct replacements for the inserts supplied with the kit, so a set is worth keeping on the bench for rebuilds or in case an insert is lost during a diff service. Install them according to the setup shown in the kit manual.
