Description
This is the main chassis plate for the RC10B7 racing buggy. The chassis is the structural foundation of the car, locating the gearbox, bulkheads, suspension mounts, battery, and electronics, and establishing the reference geometry that every other component is aligned against during assembly.
The condition of the chassis has a direct effect on how the car drives. A plate that has been tweaked or bent in a crash pulls the suspension mounts and drivetrain out of alignment, which typically produces a car that handles differently turning left than right, wears drivetrain parts unevenly, and resists correction through setup changes. Replacing the chassis is the only reliable way to restore the original geometry once a plate has been compromised.
This chassis fits the RC10B7, RC10B7D, and RC10B7.1D. It is a direct replacement for the original plate and accepts the factory hardware, mounts, and drivetrain components during a rebuild. Many racers keep a spare chassis on the shelf so a damaged car can be rebuilt quickly or a second car assembled.
