Description
This servo mount set secures the steering servo to the chassis of the RC10B74.2 four-wheel-drive buggy and is made specifically for cars running the decoupled slipper configuration. That layout changes the arrangement of components in the center of the chassis, so it requires servo mounts designed to suit the revised packaging.
Servo mounting has a direct effect on steering quality. The mounts have to hold the servo rigidly against the loads fed back through the steering linkage, because any flex or movement at the mount shows up at the wheels as vague or delayed steering response. Solid mounting also protects the servo case and its mounting tabs from cracking during impacts.
The set fits the RC10B74.2 and RC10B74.2D and installs in the stock chassis locations using the factory hardware. It works as a direct replacement for damaged mounts and as the correct hardware when converting a car to the decoupled slipper setup. Confirm your car uses the decoupled slipper before ordering, since standard cars use different mounts.
