Description
These are differential pinion gear shims sized 5 x 6.5 x 1mm, built for the Team Associated RC10B74.2, RC10B74.2D, and RC10B84 Classic center differential assemblies. The shims fit onto the pinion gear shaft inside the center gear differential, controlling end play and lateral spacing of the pinion gears against the diff case so the gears mesh correctly and spin smoothly under load. Proper shimming keeps the differential running quietly and efficiently, reducing binding and premature wear on the gears and outdrives that can occur when spacing is off. Machined to a precise 1mm thickness, these shims allow fine adjustment during a differential rebuild, letting racers dial in exact gear clearance rather than relying on worn or mismatched spacers. They are a small but essential maintenance item for anyone servicing or rebuilding the center differential, and are commonly replaced as part of a full diff rebuild alongside gears, o-rings, and diff fluid.
