Description
These adjustable height inserts fit into the rear gearbox of the RC10B74.2 four-wheel-drive buggy and set the vertical position of the rear differential within the case. Swapping inserts moves the differential up or down relative to the chassis without requiring a different gearbox, so the adjustment can be made during a normal transmission rebuild.
Rear differential height is a handling adjustment on this platform. Changing where the diff sits alters the rear driveshaft angles and the way the car transfers weight onto the rear tires under power, which affects forward bite off the corner and how the chassis settles on landings. Having the range of inserts available lets you tune the rear end to the traction level and layout of the track you are running.
The inserts fit the RC10B74.2 and RC10B74.2D. They install in the stock rear gearbox using the factory differential internals, bearings, and hardware, and serve as direct replacements for inserts that have been damaged or worn during hard use.
