Description
This two-pad slipper set provides the slipper clutch assembly for the RC10B74.1 and RC10B74.2 four-wheel-drive buggies. The slipper clutch sits in the center driveline and is designed to slip under sudden torque spikes, protecting the transmission gears, differentials, and driveshafts from shock loads during hard acceleration and on landings.
A two-pad design clamps the spur gear between a pair of friction pads, giving a broad and progressive engagement that is straightforward to set with the adjustment nut. Tightening the slipper transfers more power to the wheels for high-traction tracks, while backing it off softens the initial punch and helps the car find forward bite on loose or slick surfaces.
The set fits the RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D. It serves as a direct replacement for a worn slipper assembly and installs in the stock location using the factory driveline components and hardware. Slipper pads are a wear item, so check them for glazing and even thickness during routine transmission maintenance and reset the slipper after replacement.
