Description
These caster blocks are the front suspension uprights that carry the steering blocks on the RC10B74 platform. They mount between the front suspension arms and the steering knuckles, and this version is built to an 8 degree specification, which sets the caster angle designed into the front end.
Caster is one of the core front-end tuning adjustments on an off-road buggy. More caster generally adds stability and helps the car track straighter through rough sections, while less caster tends to sharpen initial steering response. Running a known 8 degree block fixes that geometry at a defined value so the rest of the setup can be built around it.
The blocks fit the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D 1:10 scale 4WD off-road buggies and install in the stock front suspension location. They work either as direct replacements for damaged blocks or as a geometry change from a different caster value. Since caster blocks absorb front-end impacts, a spare set is sensible to carry to the track.
