Description
The steering bellcranks are the pivoting levers at the heart of the RC10B74 steering system. The servo drives one bellcrank, the pair is linked together, and each one drives a tie rod out to a steering block, converting servo rotation into left and right movement at the front wheels.
They fit the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D 1:10 scale 4WD off-road buggies and are direct replacements for the bellcranks supplied in those kits, mounting on the standard bellcrank posts in the stock chassis location.
Bellcranks wear at the pivot bore and around the ball stud locations, and a hard front-end impact can crack or deform them. Worn bellcranks introduce play that shows up as vague on-center steering and uneven throw from side to side. Fitting a fresh pair removes that slop and restores accurate, repeatable steering response, which makes a spare set worth keeping in the pit box for anyone racing the car regularly.
