Description
These steering bellcrank posts are the vertical pivot posts that the steering bellcranks rotate on in the RC10B74 steering system. They mount to the chassis and carry the bearings or bushings that support each bellcrank, holding the steering assembly square and at the correct height above the chassis plate.
The posts fit the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D 1:10 scale 4WD off-road buggies and are direct replacements for the posts supplied in those kits. They install in the stock steering location with no modification.
Steering posts take load every time the front wheels drop into a rut or the car lands off a jump. A bent post binds the bellcrank, adds drag through the steering, and can leave the wheels returning inconsistently to center. Because the posts are inexpensive and quick to change, swapping them at the first sign of a bend or wear is a simple way to keep steering feel sharp and predictable across a race weekend.
