Description
The Team Associated ASC91967 RC10B6.4D Chassis is the main chassis plate for the RC10B6.4D buggy. It is the foundation the whole car is built on, carrying the front bulkhead, the transmission, the steering assembly, the battery and the electronics, and its stiffness and flex characteristics shape how the car puts power down and how it absorbs bumps.
This chassis fits the RC10B6.4 and RC10B6.4D. It is a direct replacement for the plate supplied in those kits, with all of the original mounting holes and cutouts in place, so the bulkheads, gearbox, servo mounting, battery hardware and electronics transfer straight across with no modification required.
A chassis that has been bent or tweaked in a hard impact will prevent the car from setting up correctly, and the resulting handling problems often look like suspension or setup faults rather than chassis damage. Building on a straight plate restores the baseline the rest of the setup is measured from, which is why many racers keep a spare chassis ready before an important event.
