Description
These 13mm rear shock springs are replacement and tuning springs for Team Associated 13mm big bore shocks. They carry a rate of 2.6 lb/in with an L61 length, 8.75 coils, and 1.2mm wire, so the rate is defined and can be compared directly against the other springs in the range when working through a setup.
Spring rate is one of the primary chassis adjustments on a racing buggy. A softer rear rate generally increases mechanical grip and rear traction on lower-bite surfaces, while a stiffer rate limits squat and suits higher-grip conditions. Working with a known rate at the rear lets a driver make one controlled change to the balance of the car without touching shock oil, pistons, or suspension geometry.
The springs fit the rear shocks of the RC10B7.1 1:10 scale 2WD off-road buggy and install on the standard 13mm shock bodies. Use them as direct replacements for springs that have sagged or been damaged, or add them to a setup box as a tuning option for changing track conditions.
