Description
These aluminum shock collars are a genuine Team Associated option part built for the 13mm shock bodies used on the RC10B6.4 and B6.4D buggies, the RC10B74.2 and B74.2D buggies, the RC10T6.4 truck, the RC10SC6.4 short course truck, and the RC10B7 and B7D buggies, and are also compatible with the RC10T84 Team truck. Machined from aluminum rather than molded plastic, they thread onto the shock body to set spring preload and ride height with far greater precision and resistance to stripping than a stock nylon collar, and they hold their adjustment under the heat and vibration of extended running sessions. As a direct upgrade over the factory plastic collar, they let racers dial in corner weight and ride height in fine increments and repeat a known setting race after race, which is difficult to do reliably with softer stock hardware. They also serve as a direct replacement when an original collar's threads have worn or cross-threaded from repeated adjustment. Because the 13mm shock body is shared across several current RC10 buggy and truck platforms, a single pair of these collars covers shock maintenance and tuning needs on more than one vehicle in a driver's fleet.
