Description
The Team Associated ASC91715 RC10B6 Laydown Motor Plate is the motor mounting plate used with the laydown transmission configuration on the RC10B6. It bolts to the gearbox and locates the motor, setting pinion position so the gear mesh can be adjusted accurately and held once set. The plate also carries heat away from the motor can and adds rigidity to the rear of the drivetrain.
This plate fits the RC10B6, RC10B6D and RC10B6 Club Racer built in laydown form. It is a direct replacement for the motor plate supplied in those kits, using the original mounting holes and hardware, so nothing else in the transmission needs to change.
A bent motor plate or one with elongated mounting slots is a common cause of gear mesh that drifts during a run and of premature spur and pinion wear. Replacing a damaged plate restores correct motor alignment and lets the transmission run at the mesh you set.
