Description
The Team Associated ASC91712 RC10B6 Gear Cover is the molded cover for the three gear transmission used on the RC10B6. It closes off the gearbox around the idler and top gears, keeping dirt, grass and loose track material out of the gear mesh while holding lubricant where it belongs. A sealed gear train runs quieter, wears more slowly and holds the mesh setting you dialed in through a full run.
This cover fits the RC10B6, RC10B6D and RC10B6 Club Racer when the car is built in three gear transmission form. It is a direct replacement for the cover included in those kits and mounts to the original gearbox using the original screws, so nothing else has to change.
Gear covers are among the first parts to crack in a rollover or in wheel to wheel contact, and a damaged cover lets debris reach the gears immediately. Keeping a spare on hand means a quick swap between rounds instead of running an open transmission and risking stripped gears.
