Description
The Team Associated ASC91710 RC10B6 Top Shaft is the input shaft that sits at the top of the RC10B6 transmission. It carries the top gear along with the slipper or spur assembly, transferring drive from the pinion through the gearbox to the differential below. Because every bit of motor power passes through it, the top shaft holds the gear mesh and the slipper components in precise alignment under load.
This shaft fits the RC10B6, RC10B6D and RC10B6 Club Racer. It is a direct replacement for the top shaft supplied in those kits and installs in the original bearings and gearbox housing with the original hardware, so no modification is needed.
Top shafts wear at the bearing surfaces and can bend after a hard impact or a driveline lockup, which shows up as a gear mesh that will not stay consistent or a slipper that chatters. Fitting a fresh shaft restores correct alignment and returns smooth, quiet power delivery through the transmission.
