Description
These are the Team Associated ASC91605 CVA Axle Shims, supplied as 2 each of 2 sizes. Axle shims are thin spacers that sit on the axle to control end play in the wheel hub assembly. Setting the correct shim stack removes unwanted side-to-side movement in the axle while still letting the bearings spin freely, which keeps the drivetrain quiet and consistent under power.
These shims fit the RC10B5M, RC10T5M, RC10SC5M, RC10B6, RC10B6D, RC10B6 Club Racer, RC10B64, RC10B64D, and RC10B64 Club Racer. They are direct replacements for the shims supplied in those kits and install onto the existing axles without modification to your hubs or bearings.
Because two different sizes are included, you can dial in the exact spacing needed for your build rather than settling for whatever is closest at hand. Shims are easily lost during hub rebuilds and axle swaps, so keeping a set in the pit box means you can service a bearing or replace an axle without leaving unwanted slop in the driveline.
