These are the Team Associated ASC91481 12x27.5mm V2 Shock Bodies. The shock body is the cylinder that holds the damping oil and guides the piston through its stroke, so a straight bore with a clean internal finish is essential for smooth, consistent damping. Worn or scored bodies cause inconsistent rebound and leaking seals, which shows up as unpredictable handling over bumps.
These V2 bodies fit a wide range of platforms including the RC10T5M, RC10SC5M, RC10B6, RC10B6D, RC10B6 Club Racer, RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10B6.1DL, RC10B6.2, RC10B6.2D, RC10B6.3, RC10B6.3D, RC10B64, RC10B64D, RC10B64 Club Racer, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10T6.1, RC10T6.2, RC10SC6.1, and RC10SC6.2.
They are direct replacements for the shock bodies used on those cars, so they accept your existing pistons, shafts, seals, and collars without modification. Rebuilding with fresh bodies restores the damping consistency that gets lost as the bore wears, and keeping spares on hand means a bent body from a hard landing can be swapped between heats.
