A locknut carries a nylon insert that grips the screw threads, resisting the loosening that comes from constant vibration and impact so wheel hexes, shock ends, and turnbuckle assemblies stay torqued to spec through hard driving instead of backing off mid-run. Manufactured from steel with a bonded nylon insert, these locknuts hold their clamping force far longer than a stripped or worn factory nut, reducing the chance of a wheel or linkage working loose at the worst possible moment.
