Description
This Team Associated spring set uses .022 in wire and fits the RC10R5-Oval, RC10R5.1, RC10L3T, RC8B3, RC8B3.1, RC8T3, and RC8T3.1, including cars built from the RC8B3 and RC8B3e kit bundle.
Spring rate is one of the largest levers in any setup. The .022 in wire is a step up from the .020 in springs in the same range, giving the chassis more support so it stays flatter through a corner, resists bottoming on landings, and reacts more sharply to steering input on a high-grip surface. On a slick or rough track a softer wire will usually generate more forward bite instead, which is why most racers carry more than one rate.
These are direct replacements for the springs supplied with the car, so they fit the stock shock bodies, cups, and collars with no modification and no need to open the shocks. That makes a rate change a few minutes of work between runs. Fit them to replace tired springs or to add a firmer option to your tuning box.
