Description
This Team Associated precision machined pinion gear has 24 teeth in 48 pitch and fits a 1/8 inch motor shaft. The pinion mounts on the motor and meshes with the spur gear to set the vehicle's final drive ratio, which determines the balance between acceleration and top speed.
Being precision machined, the gear has accurate tooth form and concentricity, which keeps the mesh consistent and reduces noise and wear on the spur gear. Moving to a pinion with more teeth raises top speed and softens acceleration, while fewer teeth does the opposite and generally lowers motor temperatures.
It fits a wide range of Associated vehicles, including the RC10 Classic and RC10CC, the RC10B3, RC10B4.1, RC10B4.2, RC10B5 and RC10B5M buggies, the B44, RC10B44.1, RC10B44.2 and B44.3, the RC10T3, RC10T4 and RC10T5M trucks, the RC10L3T and RC12L3, the TC3, TC6.2 and TC7 touring cars, and the SC10, SC10B, SC10GT, SC10.2, SC10.3 and RC10SC5M short course trucks. Secure it with the appropriate set screw.
