Description
The Team Associated ASC81720 front shock tower is the aluminum front tower for the RC8T4.2 truggy, in the 16 degree KPI configuration. It mounts the upper front shock ends and sets kingpin inclination, one of the geometry settings that determines how the front end generates steering.
The 16 degree KPI option gives a different steering feel than the lower angle tower, so tower choice becomes a genuine setup tool for tuning corner entry and mid corner grip to suit the track. Aluminum construction means the tower resists the bending and cracking that composite parts suffer from hard landings and front end impacts, and it holds shock geometry accurately through a long, rough run.
This tower is a direct fit for the RC8T4.2 and the electric RC8T4.2e, mounting at the factory locations and using the stock shock positions with no modification required. Use it as a durability upgrade over the standard tower, as a steering setup change, or as a straight replacement after crash damage.
