Description
The Team Associated ASC81708 spur gear is a 48 tooth, Mod 1 spur that fits across the RC8B4.2 and RC8T4.2 platforms. The spur works with the pinion to set final drive ratio, the single setting that most directly controls acceleration, top speed, and how hard the drivetrain and motor work.
This 48 tooth option gears the car for more acceleration than smaller spurs, which suits tight, technical layouts with short straights and plenty of corners. Having several spur sizes in the pit box lets you respond to a new layout or changing track conditions in minutes rather than living with a compromise.
Fitment covers the RC8B4.2, RC8B4.2 EURO, RC8B4.2e, RC8T4.2, and RC8T4.2e, and it installs on the stock spur mounting with no modification. Spur gears are consumable items that wear over time and can be damaged by debris or a stripped tooth, so keeping fresh spares means a gearing problem never turns into a missed race.
