The Team Associated ASC81704 center differential crosspin set is the high volume version of the crosspins used in the RC8B4.2 center differential. The crosspins carry the internal diff gears and transmit all the drive load passing through the differential, making them one of the most heavily stressed parts in the drivetrain.
Crosspins wear over time, especially with aggressive driving, high power, and heavy diff fluid. Worn pins create slop that shows up as inconsistent diff action and can eventually damage the gears they support. Replacing them during a routine diff rebuild is cheap insurance against a much more expensive drivetrain failure.
This set is matched to the high volume center differential and fits the RC8B4.2, RC8B4.2 EURO, and the electric RC8B4.2e, installing with standard diff rebuild procedures and no modification. Add a set to your regular rebuild kit alongside fresh fluid and gaskets so every diff service returns the differential to a proper, consistent feel on track.
