Description
The Team Associated ASC81703 center differential case is the high volume version of the center diff housing used across the RC8B4.2 and RC8T4.2 platforms. The center differential splits power between the front and rear drivetrain, and the case holds the internal gears and the silicone fluid that sets how aggressively that power transfers.
The high volume design holds more fluid than a standard case, which gives more consistent diff action as the fluid heats up over a long run. That consistency matters in 1/8 racing, where center diff behavior strongly influences corner entry, on-power steering, and how the car handles jump faces.
This case fits the RC8B4.2, RC8B4.2 EURO, RC8B4.2e, RC8T4.2, and RC8T4.2e. It installs using standard diff internals and rebuild procedures with no modification required. Diff cases wear at the sealing surfaces over many rebuilds and can crack in a hard impact, so a fresh case restores a proper seal and prevents fluid leaking into the gearbox.
