Description
The Team Associated ASC81702 chassis brace set is the long-version brace hardware for the RC8B4.2 platform. Chassis braces tie the chassis and bulkheads together, controlling how much the chassis twists under power, over bumps, and on landings, which in turn affects how much grip the car generates at each end.
Brace configuration is a genuine tuning tool on a 1/8 scale vehicle. The long braces change the stiffness of the chassis compared to shorter options, letting drivers adjust chassis flex to suit high-bite indoor clay or rough, low-grip outdoor tracks without touching shocks, springs, or differentials.
This set fits the RC8B4.2 EURO, the electric RC8B4.2e, and the RC8T4.2e, installing at the factory mounting locations with no modification needed. Braces also take direct impact in a hard crash, so a spare set on the bench keeps a bent brace from compromising chassis geometry and handling for the rest of a race weekend.
