Description
This conversion kit changes the front end of the RC8B4.1 over to the RC8B3 style 16 degree kingpin inclination geometry.
Kingpin inclination affects how camber changes as the steering is turned and as the front suspension moves, so switching KPI alters steering feel, corner entry response and front grip without changing arms, springs or shock settings. Drivers who preferred the handling balance of the earlier RC8B3 front end can bring that characteristic to a current RC8B4.1 chassis, then swap back when track conditions call for it.
The kit is supplied as a package of the parts needed to make the change, and Team Associated publishes a KPI comparison document alongside it showing how the geometry options differ. Fitment is specific to the RC8B4.1 eighth scale buggy. This is a tuning upgrade rather than a routine replacement part, aimed at racers who want another geometry adjustment available to them. Installation is best done as part of a normal front end rebuild while everything is already apart.
