Description
This is a 16mm rear shock spring option rated at 3.40 lb/in, part of the 1.50mm wire spring range Team Associated developed for the RC8B4.1.
The thinner 1.5mm wire gives the spring different natural frequency characteristics than the 1.6mm wire options, so the suspension compresses more readily and conforms to the surface instead of skating across it. That makes this rate a strong choice for rough, ungroomed, lower grip tracks where the rear end needs to stay planted.
The springs measure 83mm long, shortened from the previous 86mm rear length so they fit correctly within the revised RC8B4.1 shock tower package. Marking is applied at both ends of the spring so you can tell the 1.5mm wire springs apart from the 1.6mm wire set at a glance during a tuning session. Fitment covers the RC8B4.1 nitro buggy and the RC8B4.1e electric version, mounting on the standard rear shocks. Use them as a tuning option to change rear suspension response, or as a direct replacement for a worn set.
