Description
This center dogbone set replaces the driveshafts that transfer power between the center differential and the front and rear gearboxes on Team Associated's 1/8 scale electric buggy platform. The 96.5mm length is specific to the updated chassis system, and the set fits the RC8B4e and RC8B4.1e.
Team Associated notes that converting an original RC8B4e to the new chassis layout requires the #81644 and #81645 update packages, which ship with instructions; the longer 104mm center dogbone (#81581) supplied in the original kit carries over to that build. Because the 96.5mm dogbones are already bundled inside #81645, this listing exists mainly as a spare-parts pack for racers who want fresh drive components on hand.
Center dogbones take constant load under acceleration and braking, and worn or bent shafts introduce driveline slop that shows up as inconsistent power delivery. Keeping a replacement set in the pit box lets you swap damaged parts between rounds instead of losing track time. These are direct replacements built to the factory specification.
