Description
This adapter and dogbone set is the companion package that lets existing RC8B4e owners convert to the FWB/RWB chassis system.
It includes the adapters needed to relocate the motor and center differential mounting, along with a 96.5mm center dogbone set sized for the shorter drivetrain spacing the new layout creates. The conversion requires both this set and the FWB/RWB chassis, part 81644, and instructions are supplied to walk you through the installation.
The original 104mm center dogbone, part 81581, from the initial kit remains compatible with the new components, so you can run either length depending on the configuration you choose. If you need spares later, a replacement 96.5mm center dogbone set is available separately as part 81646. This set fits the RC8B4e and RC8B4.1e. It is the correct choice for anyone already running an RC8B4e chassis who wants access to the rearward weight bias option without having to buy a complete new car.
