Description
The RC8B4.1 rear shock tower is machined from aluminum in the 36.5mm configuration and serves as the upper mounting point for the rear shocks.
Its mounting hole positions set rear shock angle and height, which control how much the rear suspension resists roll, how it handles square edged bumps, and how the buggy plants power out of corners. Building the tower from aluminum instead of molded material gives it much greater resistance to flex and cracking, so shock geometry stays where you set it through hard landings, rough sections, and the inevitable rear end impact.
This tower fits the RC8B4.1 and RC8B4.1e, mounting to the rear bulkhead in the factory location and using the standard shock and mounting hardware, so installation requires no modification. Use it as a direct replacement for a bent or damaged tower, or as a durability upgrade over the kit component. Combine it with the matching aluminum front tower to keep front and rear suspension response consistent across the car.
