Description
RC8B4.1 Side Guards are direct replacement chassis protection panels for Team Associated's 1/8 scale buggy platform. Side guards mount along the outer edges of the chassis and shield internal components, linkages, and wiring from dirt, roost, and debris kicked up on the track.
They also help keep loose material out of the drivetrain area, which cuts down cleanup time between runs. Because these panels absorb side impacts and constant contact with ruts and pipes, they crack and wear over the course of a season, so a fresh set is inexpensive protection for the parts underneath.
This set fits the RC8B4.1 and the RC8B4.2 EURO, installing in the original locations using the existing hardware, so no trimming or modification is needed. It is a straight replacement for the guards supplied in the kit rather than a performance upgrade. Keep a spare set in the pit box so damaged guards can be swapped between heats instead of racing with the chassis exposed. Replace both sides together for even coverage.
