Description
This is the V2 front shock tower for the Team Associated RC8T4 1/8 scale truggy, CNC machined from 7075 aluminum.
Team Associated updated the front towers on the RC8B4 and RC8T4 to a V2 design that is more durable, adding a 1mm pocket that captures the front upper suspension insert so it is positively located rather than relying on clamping force alone. The revised tower also uses a 2mm longer, 48mm front upper hinge pin to better support the front upper suspension arms, and that longer hinge pin is included along with an installation supplement.
Together the captured insert and the longer pin make this the most durable front tower design offered for these vehicles, which matters on a part that absorbs every front end landing and nose in impact. This is a genuine upgrade over the earlier tower rather than a plain spare, and it installs in the stock front tower location on the RC8T4. Note that part number 81446 is also required to fill an additional gap during the build, so order it alongside this tower.
