Description
This center dogbone set includes the 174mm driveshafts that link the center differential to the front and rear differentials on the Team Associated RC8T4 1/8 scale truggy. The center driveline transmits every bit of power through the transmission to both ends of the truck, so these bones see more sustained torque than any other shaft on the vehicle.
Over time the drive pins and the cupped ends wear, creating backlash you feel as drivetrain slop off the throttle and hear as a rattle down the straight. Fresh dogbones tighten that up and reduce the shock loading that would otherwise be passed into the differential outdrives and gears.
The 174mm length is specific to the RC8T4 chassis layout, so this is a direct replacement that installs with your existing pins and diff outdrives, no modification needed. Because a failed center bone strands the truck on track, many racers replace the center set at regular intervals and keep the removed pair as a backup. Inspect the bones and pins whenever you service the center differential.
