Description
These 3.5x35.5mm shock shafts are titanium nitride coated replacements for the shock absorbers on the Team Associated RC8T4, RC8T4e, and RC8T4.2e 1/8 scale truggies.
The TiN coating gives the shaft a hard, low friction surface that resists scoring from dirt and grit, which is the usual cause of leaking shocks and inconsistent damping over a long race day. A smoother shaft also means the piston moves with less stiction, so the suspension reacts to small chatter bumps instead of skipping across them.
Each shaft threads into the shock rod end and passes through the shock cartridge seals, so any nick or bend in the shaft lets oil past the seal and changes the damping on that corner. Swapping in fresh shafts is the fastest way to bring worn shocks back to consistent performance without replacing the entire shock body. These are the correct length for the matching shock position on the RC8T4 series and install using the standard shock rebuild procedure with your existing pistons, seals, and rod ends.
