Description
The ASC81606 rear shock tower is a direct replacement for the rear suspension of the Team Associated RC8T4 and RC8T4e 1/8 scale truggy platforms. The shock tower is the structural mounting plate that anchors the upper ends of the rear shocks to the back of the chassis, so it carries every landing, every rut, and every impact the rear suspension absorbs.
Multiple upper shock mounting positions let you move the shock angle inboard or outboard to change how progressive the rear end feels, which is one of the quickest tuning changes you can make between practice runs. Because the tower also locates the rear wing mount and camber link hardware on these trucks, keeping a straight, uncracked tower installed matters for consistent geometry.
This is a factory replacement piece, so it bolts to the existing rear bulkhead and shock hardware with no modification required. Racers who run big air tracks often keep a spare tower in the pit box, since a hard nose in landing is the most common way a rear tower gets damaged.
