Description
This rear shock kit supplies the rear damper assemblies for the RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, and RC8T4e, covering the nitro and electric versions of both the 1:8 buggy and the truggy.
Rear shocks control how the car squats under power, how it settles on landings, and how much rear grip you carry through rough sections, so worn shafts, tired seals, and scored bodies show up quickly as inconsistent handling. Assembling a fresh pair restores a known baseline instead of leaving you chasing a setup issue that is really a worn damper.
This is the same specification the vehicle is built with, so the shocks mount in the stock rear shock tower and lower arm positions with no modification to the suspension geometry, making it a direct replacement rather than an upgrade conversion. Racers often build a second set carrying different pistons or oil weights and swap them trackside as conditions change, which is considerably faster than rebuilding shocks between rounds.
