Description
This front shock kit supplies the front damper assemblies for the RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, and RC8T4e, covering both the nitro and electric versions of the 1:8 buggy and truggy chassis.
Shocks absorb every landing, rut, and rough section on the track, and over time bodies, shafts, and seals wear to the point where damping becomes inconsistent from run to run. Building a fresh set is the fastest way back to a known baseline instead of chasing a setup problem that is really a worn damper.
Because this is the same specification Team Associated fits to the car, everything mounts in the stock shock tower and lower arm locations with no change to suspension geometry, making it a straight replacement rather than a conversion. Many racers build a second set with different pistons or oil weights and swap them at the track as traction changes, which is far quicker than tearing shocks down between rounds. A sensible spare for any serious 1:8 racing program.
