Description
The front top plate ties the upper section of the front end together on the Team Associated RC8B4 1/8 scale buggy. It caps the front bulkhead and suspension mount area, locking those pieces to each other so the front hinge pin mounts stay square and the caster and kick up settings you built into the car do not move around under load.
That structural link is what keeps steering response repeatable lap after lap instead of drifting as the front end works. Because it sits high and forward, the top plate takes direct hits in nose first landings and pile ups, and a bent or cracked plate lets the bulkhead spread slightly, which quietly changes front geometry and makes the car feel inconsistent.
Swapping in a fresh plate restores the correct front end stiffness in a few minutes of bench time. It fits the RC8B4, RC8B4.1, and RC8B4.2, and it is a direct factory replacement that bolts into the existing mounting holes with your current hardware, so no modification or shimming is required.
